Fond memories as a child living at Bamboo Gardens. I love how the name & beauty still remain. My father was Charles Deson, I believe he sold it in 1978. I recall playing down by the creek in the white sand. And the winding staircase in the house amazed me as a child. We had peacocks who would chase me around the property. Loved learning in the greenhouses with my mother & father as well. Wonderful to walk down memory lane and see that some places still remain.
Chad, Bamboo Gardens is still owned by my parents, Jerry and Mary Ann who purchased it in 1978. We moved there when I was 1 year old. If you are ever in the neighborhood, you should stop by! I’m sure you’ll find it changed, but the house and barn and many of the greenhouse frames are still around. I agree, it was a great place to grow up. Thanks for your comment! Jenny
